What is the principle of Mind Lamp?

Mind Lamp is very simple device. It has three LEDs, red, green and blue, a joint glow of which may give different shades of all colors of the rainbow. The behavior of LEDs is controlled by the CPU that watches a REG output. REG (Random Event Generator) is an electronic "coins flipper" that can "flip coins" 200 times per second. If, for a certain period of time, the output of the REG strongly deviates from the norm, then the CPU gives a command to change the color of the lamp.

Which colors can the lamp display?

Mind Lamp "runs" on the color circle consisting of rainbow colors, so it can display any tint, which is presented in the circle displayed below:

In this case, changing the color, the lamp can not jump directly, say, from blue to yellow. Switching happens by smooth transition of several colors: dark blue -> violet -> red -> yellow or dark blue -> blue -> green -> yellow. In its color behavior, the lamp is always moving on this circle smoothly. In rare cases, the lamp can be white, so can "pass" through the center of the circle.

Why the lamp does not display the color I'm thinking of? I don't believe it works.

While having some training you can learn how to cause the lamp to display the color you want, the final color does not necessarily have to be so that you think of. You could think of no color. Random events generator (REG), located inside the lamp, reacts to something in your conscious or subconscious mind. On what and how - it is not yet known.

When the REG output is strictly normal, the lamp displays a certain color, not changing at all. As soon as the deviation from the norm takes place, the lamp begins to "move" on the color circle described above. Your task is to stop this movement in the desired position (on the color you want), ceasing the influence as much as possible.

As for your belief in the phenomenon, we can say the following. In a world where your beliefs and thoughts may really influence the behavior of physical objects, your expectations can affect the results of the experiments. If you do not believe that this phenomenon is real, most likely you do not get a result.
